Our next monthly meeting is scheduled for Friday, 20 May. We will have a presentation by Des Owen from the NRRA (a research start-up). Des has a background in water resource management and hydrochemistry. He has recently completed his PhD at QUT, where he used hydrochemistry and isotopes to assess interactions between CSG aquifers. His talk will focus on the use of methane and associated isotopes in understanding gas migration between aquifers. He will also highlight future research pursuits which aim to address knowledge gaps.
The format for the meeting will be:
4:30-5:00 presentation
5:00-5:20 discussion
5:20-6:00 networking and drinks (refreshments will be $5 for members and $10 for non-members)
The venue for this meeting is the same as last Friday:
The Gibson Room (Z1064)
Level 10, Z Block,
QUT, Gardens Point Campus
On behalf of the committee, we look forward to seeing you all there.
