IAH NSW is pleased to announce that our next meeting features a talk by Dr Grant Ferguson, Associate Professor of Geological Engineering, University of Saskatchewan.
Grant Ferguson completed a B.Sc. in geology at the University of Waterloo in 2000 and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at the University Manitoba in 2004. He held a faculty position in the Department of Earth Sciences at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia from 2004 to 2011. Since 2011, he has been an Associate Professor of Geological Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan. His current research focuses on the hydrogeology of sedimentary basins and the impacts of resource development in the deep subsurface. Dr. Ferguson was president of the International Association of Hydrogeologists – Canadian National Chapter from 2009 until 2015. He is the current chair of the International Association of Hydrogeologists Groundwater and Energy Commission.
