In 2011, the Early Career Hydrogeologist Network or ECHN was formally acknowledged as a network of the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH). The main aim of the group is to assist hydrogeologists at the start of their professional or academic careers by providing support in information sharing, networking and strengthening the status of early career hydrogeologists within the IAH.
Come say hello online!
The ECHN LinkedIn group is one of the steps toward new information sharing possibilities via an international network of junior hydrogeologists. All hydrogeologists at the start of their professional careers, who are members of IAH, are welcome to join this group to get involved and benefit from the network’s activities.
IAH members receive a number of benefits in addition to accessing the LinkedIn community and forums. If you’re interested in signing up to IAH (automatically allowing you to become a member of ECHN), you’ll find a full list of annual fees and exactly what’s included at https://www.iah.org.au/

Future events, social meetings and local lectures and courses will be posted online so be sure to keep an eye out for the latest activities. And please don’t be shy – these forums are a space for you! Pose questions, like, share, interact with other members and also feel free to leave us your suggestions as to what you’d like to see from ECHN in future.
If you have any questions or queries please email the National ECHN Representative: Madelyn Harp – echn@iah.org.au
