Abstract:
Dendrobium Mine extracts coal in the Southern Coalfield of NSW. This longwall mine is located in a sensitive area with respect to water resources and ecological values. The mine operator (South32) has carried out an extensive program of investigation and analysis. An overview of the analysis of field investigations and multiple types of monitoring data is presented, and discussed in regard to the conceptual model of the effects on the groundwater system and on surface water features.
